Inspirations...Almost Daily

He's Starting me on my Way
Back to Full Blog

Hey there.

I hope that your Christmas and New Years was safe and fun. I'm so happy to be in a new year.

I am in Detroit, where I will be until my health gets better. Why go back to Florida sick? I am on medical leave and I don't have any family there. My friends love me and will do all they can for me but ultimately I am not their responsibility. So I'm just gonna chill out in Michigan.

My time here thus far has been super despite my condition. My family has been smothering me with so much love that I know there must be a God somewhere. And if there is a God somewhere, He sure will heal this body.

Always at the ready are my friends. They love me. I love them. I really couldn't do this without them. We don't talk everyday-we never did-and we don't have too. When you let good people in your spirit you don't have to depend on Ma Bell.

Since I've been here, I have visited a Homeopathic doctor. She consulted with me about one and a half hours and mixed me a potion to drink, a teaspoon daily. I will let you know how that goes.

Other than that, it's just slow motion. Laying in the bed, reading healing scriptures, envisioning myself in perfect health, doing my best to stay encouraged, praying for those who are prayer warriors for me. You know who you are and thank you. My friends' parents, the lady in the Coney Island restaurant who told me I am healed and to keep taking my meds, the lady on the plane with encouraging words and the folks who have told me that my face rash looks like a sunburn. How cute but baby this is more than sunburn on these cheeks.

I would say that I'm not concerned with my face as long as my insides are healed. I figured why ask God to restore how the world sees me because other folks are faced with organ damage, inoperable cancers. Stupid me. Why go to the ocean with a thimble expecting blessings when you can take a keg to fill?

No matter how minute something may seem that you are going through, if it matters to you, it matters to God. Believe that. May the Lord God Bless you Real Good.
